3 Minute Thesis Competition 2023
Developed by the University of Queensland, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students by cultivating students’ academic, presentation and research communication skills. Participants are judged on the ability to effectively convey the essence and importance of their research in an engaging way to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes, with one PowerPoint slide.

The Art of Research competition celebrates the extraordinary research of University at Buffalo graduate students and postdoctoral scholars through a showcase of original images highlighting the inherent beauty in research, scholarship and creative activity.

This award recognizes outstanding Student Showcase projects from each decanal area that achieve superiority in presentation, content and scope, and which therefore merit acknowledgement as efforts worthy of university-wide distinction.

Workshop on Household and Development Economics
The workshop focussed on a range of critical research areas related to households and outcomes in the spheres of health, education, fertility, and other socio-demographic research areas. The workshop served as an opportunity for students to learn about this growing field of research and to build a research network and spur idea generation among researchers working on household economics, targeting a diverse group of researchers.

Making Economics Fun: Group Activities & Classroom Games
Bringing economics to life through interactive group activities, collaborative challenges, and games designed to make learning both engaging and practical. From market simulations to policy debates and auction games, these activities help students experience economic concepts in action; encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and a little friendly competition!



Omicron Delta Epsilon – Honor Society in Economics
As the faculty advisor of ODE, I have the privilege of working with some of our most dedicated and curious economics students. ODE celebrates academic excellence and fosters a community of future economists through events, discussions, and mentorship. I greatly enjoy supporting and guiding students as they explore their interests and grow as scholars within this honor society.
